
ABOUT
I am from the west of Ireland and have been practicing movement and mindfulness, for 22 years. That's when I began my journey to fitness and health; and thankfully so as it really helped me during my time in the Irish Defense Forces. It was during this period that I developed and deepened my own personal practice, propelling me onto my journey around the world. I have been teaching now for over 11 years in various international locations and resorts, from castles in Ireland, islands of Greece, and the jungles and beaches of Thailand.
I am a passionate teacher, teachings from my heart. I try to make my classes fun, fluid and useful to release emotional and physical tension.
I have a studied anatomy and physiology, and my classes are based on experience and knowledge to be beneficial for both body and mind.
Each class has motive and intention and comes with a message of mindfulness. My Pilates classes specialise in helping people recover from injuries, gain strength and stability.
Pilates is regularly subtly incorporated in each of my yoga classes to enable students to build core strength and to practice safely.
Face yoga is very special and I have studied with one of the world leaders in this practice, Danielle Collins. Her method is wonderfully unique, a holistic approach to the face, working from the inside out - toning the muscles, boosting circulation and relaxing tension. So with daily practice your face looks and feels brighter, lifted and healthy. But Face Yoga works on a much deeper psychological and energetic lever as well. And you feel good!
I am always looking for ways to grow as a teacher and recently qualified as a Pre & Post Natal Yoga teacher,
I am blessed to have a core group of followers who take my online classes regardless of where I am in the world.
I am qualified in Mat Pilates, Hatha Yoga, Face Yoga and Yoga for Pregnancy. I am also qualified in different forms of body work, from Manual Lymphatic drainage, Chi Nei Tsang - detoxifying Abdominal Massage, Chinese Cupping Therapy and Indian head massage. I lead meditation and mindfulness sessions and yoga Nidra classes.
I have always felt great affinity for the animal world, and this has deepened during my travels in Asia, taking care of the street dogs, being involved with veterinary care, vaccination initiates and feeding programmes. That sometimes involves getting in small boats in a stormy sea with a dog or two tucked under my arm while seeking the nearest vet!
I hold certificates for holistic animal care, basic dog training and grooming. I have been pet sitting for 6 years, and have traveled the world teaching and pet sitting, as well as hosting pets in my own home in Ireland.
I have studied Animal communication too and the work of South African, spirit animal worker, Anna Breytenbach and the amazing Penelope Smith in the United States.
